Selling popcorn raises funds that support the programs within Pack 374 and Heart of America Council, while increasing the visibility of scouting as an important activity within the community.
Methods of selling
Start now. Go to www.trails-end.com, select “Scouts” in the lower, left-hand corner; then select “Create an Account” in the upper, right-hand corner. Use the 4-digit Pack #4374 to register and get started. On-Line sales are shipped direct from Trails-End to the recipient, who pays for the shipping in advance when placing and paying for the order at the web site. At the end of the popcorn fundraiser, your on-line sales will be added to your Scout’s other types of selling to help him reach his personal goal, including the Take Order form’s Fill It Up goal. The Pack electronically tracks the on-line sales, however, feel free to add the on-line sales to your Take Order form to help your Scout understand his progress…use “On-Line Sale” in the address block to ensure we don’t accidentally attempt to fill the order a second time.
Starts September 12th and ends when you turn in your Take Order form to your Den Leader at the Pack meeting the week of Oct 25th. Customer checks need to be made out to “Pack 374”. Product will become available for pick up shortly after the Pack picks up the goods November 12 info as that date approaches.
Show N’ Sell
A limited amount of product is available to be “signed out” from the Pack for sale any place that members of our community congregate. Typically, this works at retail stores. Coordination with the supporting store/organization is up to the Den. Show N’ Sell events can be supported September 14 through October 25th, product dependent. Show N’ Sell orders also count toward the Scout’s personal sales goal, including the Take Order form’s Fill It Up goal. Write “Show N’ Sell” in the address block to be sure we don’t accidentally attempt to fill the order a second time.
This is like Show N’ Sell, except product is loaded into a vehicle that follows Scouts who are selling door-to-door, typically along a pre-planned street route. Again, your Den Leader will coordinate pick up of the requested products from the Pack. A Blitz event can be supported September 11 October 25th, product dependent. Blitz orders also count toward the Scout’s personal sales goal, including the Take Order form’s Fill It Up goal. Write “Blitz” in the address block to be sure we don’t accidentally attempt to fill the order a second time.
Checks must be made payable to “Pack 374”.
It is recommended that payment be collected at the time the order is placed with the Scout, as there is no method for returning popcorn that is later declined by a customer. You are welcome to turn in all funds when you turn in your Take Order form the week of Oct 20th.
You will distribute Take Order popcorn the week of Nov 13th.
